My name is Todd Browne, and Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Coffs Coast Sports Physiotherapy. I graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.

I grew up on the Coffs Coast and moved back in 2020 to expand my experience in Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation. Returning to my family roots, I have absolutely loved coming back to this coastline with its fabulous climate and outdoor opportunities and lifestyle this area provides.

In my spare time, you’ll find me outdoors kayaking, fishing, surfing, free diving, snorkelling, swimming, and hiking. Other passions include competitive tennis and playing a round of golf.

Physical activity and health have always been a primary interest in my life. As someone who has played competitive sports throughout my youth and adult life, I have also had numerous physical injuries, so I understand the frustrations that come with injury and how debilitating this can be on an individuals physical and mental health.

My decision in 2015 to become an Exercise Physiologist was the best fit of my life and I haven’t looked back.  As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, I have worked with a diverse range of clientele.  I provide a fresh and personal approach with the knowledge and aim to provide the best possible care for every patient I treat. I have a strong focus on musculoskeletal and sport-specific rehabilitation, chronic disease management and prioritising collaborative allied health care to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Working in private practice is invaluable – building connections with clients during the rehabilitation process I find challenging and extremely satisfying. Specifically, I aim to providing tailored exercise interventions involving physiological assessment and exercise prescription for a diverse range of clients. These include the local sporting community, clinical populations through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Medicare, NDIS, and Workcover NSW. I am also a fully qualified Jobfit PEFA assessor, allowing me to conduct pre-employment functional assessments on a variety of workers within the region.

Our model at Coffs Coast Sports Exercise Physiology is care based around education, best practice exercise prescription, and self-management strategies. Our primary goal is to manage and support the client to follow a rehabilitation pathway and better self-manage their condition, chronic disease and / or pain. The ultimate outcome is to achieve an improved quality of life, return to their pre-injury state, complete their post operative programs and assist in attaining their long-term goals.
